HOW MANY LESSONS SHOULD I HAVE PER WEEK?
OK Let's be honest here! The quickest away to learn is to have a lesson every day but who's got the time or the money to do that! Some people with lots of free time on their hands or a tight schedule to meet do intensive courses like this and they can learn very quickly
BUT WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO?
Most do an hour and a half each week
IS THAT ENOUGH?
Usually yes, unless you want to learn even faster
WHY AN HOUR AND A HALF?
An hour isn't long enough to be able to make good progress. There are now 4 manoeuvres to do and the test itself is longer so an hour just isn't enough to make good progress, do the manoeuvres AND obtain the necessary driving experience
SO DOES THAT MEAN YOU
No it just means the progress will be slower. People who do one hour per week are likely to need more hours tuition than pupils doing 90min sessions. They are also more likely to drop out of lessons through a lack of progress. It's the 2 steps forward and 3 steps backwards kind of feeling
BUT I CAN ONLY DO LESSONS DURING MY ONE HOUR LUNCH BREAK
Try to do two sessions per week
SO WOULD 2 HOUR LESSONS BE EVEN
Probably not for most people as your concentration starts to go off after about 90 minutes. That's why you never did more than 2 hour sessions at school or college. You can't cram information into a tired mind
SO 90 MINUTE SESSIONS ARE THE WAY TO GO?
That's what we find and they're probably better than 2 separate hours.
